Summer blues

summer-blues

One day it feels like summer, the next its winter all over again.

One anoying thing about living in Auckland is our crazy weather, it’s so unpredictable.

I mean, last week you could find most of us in our jandels and sunnies lying down in Albert Park. This week so far has been gusty winds and thunder storms.

It makes it really hard for us to decide what to wear in the morning. Like this morning it was fine outside and I thought jandels and shorts should be ok. But, unfortunately, towards the afternoon it poured down with rain; boy was I soaked and cold.

There’s nothing worse than getting your feet all wet and gooey in your jandels or looking like a tomato from the sun. So heres a few tips to remember before stepping out for the day.

  • Listen to the weather forecast for the day as a guide on what to wear as most Jafas know our weather is unpredictable.
  • Weather forecasts aren’t always right, so i’ts a good idea to keep an umbrella in your bag just incase as it can also have potential use on sunny days too.
  • Another good idea is to keep a jumper in your bag, as the weather can drop in a matter of seconds, as I endured today.
  • Keep sunscreen in your bag and don’t forget to wear sunscreen even if the weather is overcast, you can still get burned!

Don’t worry, we’re almost there. Summer isn’t too far away!

Then bring on the 3 B’s: Barbeques, Beaches and Babes
